Frontline anchor
Farin
Rooms collapse at the objective or a revive lane never stays open.
Pick Eradan, Farin, or Andriel first: Heavy Shot and War Cry openers, what to spend next, and which hero to hot-swap when a room starts going wrong.
Start with the hero whose job is failing. Eradan deletes exposed casters, Farin makes the room standable, Andriel covers the revive. Steam’s Legacy Edition lets you hot-swap mid-fight — do not rebuild one character into all three roles.
EDITORIAL START ROUTES · NOT A DPS RANKING
Start with the failure you need to solve, then open one focused build route. These profiles use original-system roles and are deliberately not current Legacy Edition damage values.
Role fit is editorial guidance. Verify current tooltips, cooldowns, and item values in your version.
01 · SELECT
Each card answers who should lead, what to level first, and what needs to be ready before a hard room.
Frontline anchor

Mobile pressure
Archers, casters, or exposed elites must disappear before the line is overrun.
Protection and control
The party needs space to recover, protect an objective, or reset a bad room.
02 · COMPARE
This decision matrix is editorial guidance: it maps one repeated problem to a starting route and a current-tooltip check. It does not rank Legacy Edition damage.
| Hero | Pick this when | Opening focus | Keep ready |
|---|---|---|---|
| Farin | Rooms collapse at the objective or a revive lane never stays open. | War-cry → Sweeping Attack | A shield or heavy weapon, plus a crossbow pull option. |
| Eradan | Archers, casters, or exposed elites must disappear before the line is overrun. | Heavy Shot → Evasion | Bow, arrows, and a safe melee fallback for a closed angle. |
| Andriel | The party needs space to recover, protect an objective, or reset a bad room. | Sanctuary → Word of Command | Staff, Power, and a clear line to the next revive window. |
03 · COMMIT
Commit to one lane before chasing a tooltip. Then use a challenge run to learn whether the team lacks control, range, or recovery.
Name the failure: collapsed frontline, exposed archers, or a missed recovery.
Take one repeatable action and the resource or movement that lets you use it again.
Record what broke in a challenge run before changing another branch.
A safe starting Andriel build for Legacy Edition: protection and recovery first, then control, staff damage, and clear co-op timing for groups.
